4. Data Collection on Our Website
When visiting our website, your surfing behavior may be statistically evaluated. This is primarily done using cookies and so-called analysis programs. Analysis of your surfing behavior is generally anonymous; the surfing behavior cannot be traced back to you. You may object to this analysis or prevent it by not using certain tools. Detailed information on this can be found in the following privacy policy.
You may object to this analysis. We will inform you about the options for objection in this privacy policy.
SSL or TLS Encryption
For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as orders or inquiries that you send to us as the site operator, this site uses SSL or TLS encryption. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from “http://” to “https://” and by the lock symbol in your browser line.
When SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.
Cookies
The website uses so-called cookies in some cases. Cookies do not cause damage to your computer and do not contain viruses. Cookies serve to make our offering more user-friendly, effective, and secure. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer and saved by your browser.
Most of the cookies we use are so-called “session cookies.” They are automatically deleted after the end of your visit. Other cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them. These cookies enable us to recognize your browser on your next visit.
You can configure your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and allow cookies only in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for specific cases or generally, and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. Deactivation of cookies may limit the functionality of this website.
Cookies that are necessary for carrying out the electronic communication process or for providing certain functions you have requested (e.g., shopping cart function) are stored on the basis of Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in storing cookies for the technically error-free and optimized provision of its services. Insofar as other cookies (e.g., cookies for analyzing your surfing behavior) are stored, these are treated separately in this privacy policy.
Server Log Files
The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:
- Browser type and browser version
- Operating system used
- Referrer URL
- Host name of the accessing computer
- Time of server request
- IP address
These data are not merged with other data sources.
The basis for data processing is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, which permits the processing of data for the fulfillment of a contract or pre-contractual measures.
We store the above information for 7 days before it is deleted.
5. Plugins and Tools
YouTube Video Integration
We have embedded YouTube videos into our online offering, which are stored on https://www.youtube.com and can be played directly from our website. These are all embedded in “extended data protection mode,” meaning that no data about you as a user are transmitted to YouTube if you do not play the videos. Only when you play the videos are the data mentioned in paragraph 2 transmitted. We have no influence on this data transmission.
By visiting the website, YouTube receives the information that you have accessed the corresponding subpage of our website. This occurs regardless of whether YouTube provides a user account through which you are logged in or whether no user account exists. If you are logged in to Google, your data will be directly attributed to your account. If you do not wish the attribution to your profile on YouTube, you must log out before activating the button. YouTube stores your data as usage profiles and uses them for purposes of advertising, market research, and/or demand-oriented design of its website. Such evaluation occurs in particular (even for users who are not logged in) for the provision of demand-oriented advertising and to inform other users of the social network about your activities on our website. You have the right to object to the creation of these user profiles, whereby you must contact YouTube to exercise this right.
Further information on the purpose and scope of data collection and its processing by YouTube can be found in the privacy policy. There you will also receive further information about your rights and setting options for protecting your privacy: https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy. Google also processes your personal data in the USA and has submitted to the EU-US Privacy Shield, https://www.privacyshield.gov/EU-US-Framework.
Google Web Fonts Integration
This site uses so-called web fonts provided by Google for the uniform display of fonts. When you access a page, your browser loads the required web fonts into your browser cache to display texts and fonts correctly.
For this purpose, the browser you use must connect to Google’s servers. This gives Google knowledge that our website was accessed via your IP address. The use of Google Web Fonts is in the interest of a uniform and appealing presentation of our online offerings. This represents a legitimate interest within the meaning of Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
If your browser does not support web fonts, a standard font from your computer will be used.
Further information about Google Web Fonts can be found at https://developers.google.com/fonts/faq and in Google’s privacy policy: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/.
Google reCAPTCHA
We use “Google reCAPTCHA” (hereinafter “reCAPTCHA”) on our websites. The provider is Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”).
reCAPTCHA is intended to verify whether data entry on our websites (e.g., in a contact form) is made by a human or by an automated program. To this end, reCAPTCHA analyzes the behavior of the website visitor based on various characteristics. This analysis begins automatically as soon as the website visitor enters the website. For the analysis, reCAPTCHA evaluates various information (e.g., IP address, duration of the website visitor’s stay on the website, or mouse movements made by the user). The data collected during the analysis are forwarded to Google.
The reCAPTCHA analyses run completely in the background. Website visitors are not informed that an analysis is taking place.
Data processing is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in protecting its web offerings from abusive automated spying and SPAM.
Further information about Google reCAPTCHA and Google’s privacy policy can be found at the following links: https://www.google.com/intl/de/policies/privacy/ and https://www.google.com/recaptcha/intro/android.html.
Google Maps Integration
On this website, we use the offering of Google Maps. This enables us to display interactive maps directly on the website and allows you to conveniently use the map function.
By visiting the website, Google receives the information that you have accessed the corresponding subpage of our website. In addition, the data mentioned in Section IV of this declaration are transmitted to Google. This occurs regardless of whether Google provides a user account through which you are logged in or whether no user account exists. If you are logged in to Google, your data will be directly attributed to your account. If you do not wish the attribution to your profile on Google, you must log out before activating the button. Google stores your data as usage profiles and uses them for purposes of advertising, market research, and/or demand-oriented design of its website. Such evaluation occurs in particular (even for users who are not logged in) for the provision of demand-oriented advertising and to inform other users of the social network about your activities on our website. You have the right to object to the creation of these user profiles, whereby you must contact Google to exercise this right.
Further information on the purpose and scope of data collection and its processing by the plug-in provider can be found in the provider’s privacy policies. There you will also receive further information about your related rights and setting options for protecting your privacy: https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy. Google also processes your personal data in the USA and has submitted to the EU-US Privacy Shield, https://www.privacyshield.gov/EU-US-Framework.
